Mr. Greens Produce is seeking a Quality Control technician for Houston!

Overview:

Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.

Accountabilities:

- Checks goods for quality and quantity; selects proper procedure for storage, supervises rotating of stock as required; issues material and supplies.

- Checks vendor deliveries against requisitions and purchase orders to ensure accuracy; responds to all inquiries concerning the inventory and warehouse.

- Knowledge of detailed inventory record keeping practices and procedures.

- Monitoring current inventory levels

- Performing physical count of inventory

- Follow Cycle Count processes and procedures.

- Keeping management informed including reviewing and analyzing reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.

- Keeping a safe and clean working environment by enforcing compliance with all applicable procedures, GMPs, OSHA, preventive controls, and other rules in the facility.

- Perform visual inspection of product to meet certain specification.

- Reconcile actual stock count.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

- Proficiency with using computers/ managing emails.

- Experience in Food Service/Produce preferred.

- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

- Electric Forklift experience.

- Basic Math Skills

- Must be able to work in a refrigerated climate (temp ranges from 40 to -15 degrees)

- Must be willing and able to lift-up to 50 pounds.
