About Financefair

Our team combines commercial understanding with financial expertise and technology to deliver funding solutions that work for our customers. As an Operations & Risk Analyst, you will combine analytical work with relationship management, gaining hands-on experience of funding transactions, portfolio monitoring and the day-to-day operation of our funding platform. Alongside managing daily transactions and controls, you will help improve how we work - using data, technology and automation to strengthen risk monitoring and make processes more efficient. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with both numbers and people, asks thoughtful questions and takes ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily funder queries, funding allocations and new funder onboarding.

- Support daily cash and asset management, fund reconciliations and transaction processing.

- Coordinate customer drawdowns and foreign exchange requirements.

- Work with colleagues and funders to resolve queries accurately and promptly.

- Analyse operational and portfolio data and prepare clear, useful reporting.

Portfolio Monitoring and Risk

- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging credit or operational risks.

- Investigate exceptions and escalate concerns to the appropriate team.

- Support effective operational controls and maintain accurate transaction records.

- Work with Credit and Operations colleagues to improve risk visibility and reporting.

Technology and Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce manual work.

- Help automate operational and risk workflows to improve efficiency and control.

- Work with our Technology team to develop, test and implement improvements.

- Contribute ideas that improve the experience of customers, funders and colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

- A third-level degree in finance, economics, business or a related quantitative discipline.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with close attention to detail.

- Enjoys building relationships and working with people, with the confidence to ask questions, communicate clearly and contribute ideas.

- Organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

- Curious about how businesses operate and how funding supports their growth.

- Comfortable taking initiative while collaborating across teams.

- Interested in technology, data and finding more efficient ways to work.

- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with coding, data analysis tools or automation would be an advantage.

- Financial services, fintech or relevant internship experience would be helpful, but is not essential.

- Relevant professional qualifications, or an interest in pursuing them, would be welcome.

- Funding Operations and Relationships

- The position is based at our head office in Belfield Office Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin, with four days in the office, Monday to Thursday, and remote working on Fridays.

- You will work closely with our Operations, Funding, Revenue, Credit and Technology teams, with exposure to growing businesses, banks, institutional credit funds and private funders. Direct access to senior leadership will give you opportunities to learn, contribute ideas and develop your commercial judgement.
