Are you a creative and organised marketing and communications professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Fostering South West is seeking a Communications Officer to help raise awareness of fostering, strengthen our regional brand, and support the recruitment of more foster carers across 15 local authorities in the South West.

Fostering South West is a Department for Education-funded regional partnership that supports fostering recruitment and retention across 15 local authorities in the South West. Through targeted marketing, early support for prospective foster carers, and a shared regional approach, the Hub works to increase the number, quality and diversity of fostering placements, helping to ensure more children can grow up in safe, stable and loving homes.

Working closely with the Communications Lead and partner council communications teams, you will help deliver engaging marketing and recruitment campaigns across a wide range of channels, including social media, digital content, email, advertising, events and print. You will create compelling content, maintain websites and social media platforms, support media enquiries, coordinate external suppliers, and ensure all communications are accessible, on-brand and tailored to the needs of different audiences. You will also monitor campaign performance, analyse data and audience insights, and help shape future activity through evidence-based recommendations.

This is a varied and exciting role that combines creativity, communication and relationship management. We are looking for someone with excellent writing skills, a strong eye for detail, and experience delivering high-quality communications across multiple channels. If you are proactive, adaptable and passionate about using communications to influence, engage and inspire people, we'd love to hear from you and welcome you to a team that is helping transform the lives of children and young people through fostering.
