About this role
Claim Expert is a hands-on manager of individual higher exposure/complicated claims; expected to regularly conduct outside claim audits, market, and client visits; initiate regular contact with underwriters, actuaries and accounting staff; and able to review and analyse overall loss portfolios.
The role will primarily focus on motor bodily injury claims across the France and Belux markets.
A comfort level with technology is required as the digitalization of our departmental operations is a key part of our corporate strategy. Whilst many meetings can be conducted remotely, the role will require business travel from time to time.
The position reports to the Head of Reinsurance P&C France/Belux claims & Specialty lines based in Paris.
The position is based in Paris.
Required experience & competencies
- Min 7 years of experience in large bodily injury claim handling.
- Expertise in managing a caseload of complex claims.
- Ability to manage and organize and analyse data.
- Can provide effective representation of SCOR’s interests in the market and engage appropriately with underwriters and other internal stakeholders.
- Comfort level with technology. Expertise in main Office software
- Good organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- High degree of accountability, both personally and within the team.
- Team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Education
University/College degree (or academic equivalent) in law/ insurance.
Strong interpersonal skills as the position require building a solid network internally & externally.
Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
