About this role
J oin our outpatient sports medicine team and work alongside experienced Doctors, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.
As a Clinical Assistant, you will help provide quality patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic and sports medicine clinic. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients and their medical records for appointments
- Assisting providers during patient visits
- Communicating patient concerns and medical information to the provider
- Assisting with suture removal and injection preparation
- Fitting patients with braces and other medical equipment
- Following and assisting with provider orders
- Scheduling surgeries and follow-up appointments
- Providing patient education in person and over the phone
- Documenting patient visits and communications
Training is provided , so we are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong interest in orthopedic and sports medicine.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or late nights.
Additional outreach opportunities at local sporting events may be available for Athletic Trainers and are offered with additional compensation.
Compensation: Based on experience.
Qualifications
Education and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education preferred
- Licensure or Certification in one of the following types:
Licensed Practice Nurse: State of Tennessee LPN license
- Medical assisting training preferred
- Proficiency using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform patient education duties
