Pay.com is a payment orchestration and acquiring platform engineered for acceptance. We give online merchants one central hub to accept, route, optimise and manage payments worldwide.

We are looking for a dedicated Reconciliation Team Lead to lead our Reconciliation team within Finance Operations at our Limassol office in Cyprus.

Key responsibilities

- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of transactions and balances across acquirers, PSPs, card schemes and bank accounts.

- Match internal platform data against external reports and bank statements and identify and investigate discrepancies.

- Prepare merchant settlement and payout reconciliations for review, checking volumes, fees, refunds, chargebacks and reserves.

- Support interchange and scheme fee validation by preparing data and flagging unexpected charges.

- Assist with the daily monitoring of safeguarded merchant funds, performing checks and escalating any breaks.

- Perform daily bank account reconciliations, including merchant accounts, as our banking operations go live.

- Track and follow up on open items and aged breaks until resolved, keeping records and the audit trail up to date.

- Communicate with internal teams and external partners to obtain information and resolve reconciliation queries.

- Prepare regular reconciliation reports and assist with month-end close and audit requests.

- Contribute to procedure documentation and process improvements as the team grows.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.

- 2+ years of experience in reconciliation, payments, finance operations or a similar role, preferably within a PSP, FinTech, banking or financial services environment.

- Basic understanding of banking and payment flows, including settlement cycles and bank statements.

- Exposure to card payments or acquiring is an advantage.

- Good to advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and comfort working with large volumes of data.

- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet daily deadlines.

- Proactive team player, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
