This position will act as the responsible payroll advisor for all payroll related matters in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and other regions upon decision of the Senior Director Human Resources. The resource will not be exclusively dedicated to Germany.

Responsibilities:

- Preparation and Coordination of payroll for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
- Administration of new hires and exits in ADP systems.
- Main contact for ADP and external payroll providers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
- First point of contact for all employee requests related to payroll.
- Manage co-operation and communication with social security organizations, tax authorities and unemployment agencies.
- Manage all administrative issues related to payroll (e.g. SV.net requests, A1 requests, sick child reports, taxation reports for ID flights and Shine points).
- Co-ordinate administration of AC child allowance (e.g. certificates).
- Follow up on special payments (e.g. sick leave contribution, jubilee, allowances).
- Handle garnishment payments and communication with 3rd parties.
- Prepare relevant payroll reports for Finance departments in London and Headquarter and deal with appropriate correspondence (e.g. payroll registers, coding boxes, credit notes).
- Annual reporting of salaries to insolvency insurances (e.g. PSVaG).
- Handling of work certificates for unemployment agency.
- Administration of pension and group life insurances incl. communication with insurances and HQ departments.
- Manage all retiree related issues (e.g. new pensioner set-up, pension indexation, yearly pension information for retirees for German tax authorities, obtain and send life certificates to pension fund for each AC/CP retiree).
- Assist with implementation of ADP.
- Liaise with company auditors and external auditors.
- Produce and extract reports from payroll system.
- Handle governmental statistics.
- Support other payroll related projects.
- Process local invoices and credit notes (scanning, sending to Conduent for upload in Ariba, coding per dept ID, approving in Ariba, follow up with Conduent and LON finance to insure on time payment).
- Investigation of local accounting and tax issues for London finance.
- Sick leave administration and reporting for all branches in Germany based new legal procedure (sv.net).
- Administrate Group Life insurance and other insurances.
- Administrate Deutschlandticket for all new employees.
- AC Travel Registration.
- Provide assistance with other HR duties or special projects as required.

Qualifications

- University degree or Apprenticeship in the field of payroll accounting or comparable economic education.
- Minimum 5 years´ experience in the field of payroll accounting.
- Experience with ADP is an asset.
- Very good knowledge of HR practices and processes.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of respect for confidentiality.
- Strong team player.
- Able to work under pressure, unsupervised and use own initiative.
- Strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Prior to their start date, candidates will also need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.

Linguistic Requirements

Fluent in German and English, French is an asset.
