Job Summary
This position is responsible for tracking stores inventory to ensure required products for daily and job-specific production are always inventoried. The Stores Keeper will order and receive products as needed; review orders upon delivery to ensure order accuracy; charge out items to jobs as they are removed from stores. The Stores Keeper will work closely with project managers and plant management to ensure inventory accuracy.
The ideal candidate must be well organized and have solid time management skills to ensure that inventory records are up to date.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the Stores/Warehouse
- Requisitioning materials and tools for production and equipment
- Physically receiving orders and distribution to the requested party
- Receiving against the purchase order within the Company’s financial computer program
- Completing cycle counts
- Confirming or criticizing min/max levels
- Overseeing Vendor Managed Inventory product standards and quality
- Maintaining inventory of production materials and equipment
- Working with the Project Management team to coordinate production inventory
- Communicating with Shipping and Precast departments for Site Hardware
- Minor repairs and maintenance production components
- Building daily kits for production
- Reviewing and stocking of lean productivity stations and shop supplies
- Conducting annual inventory counts and follow up
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Technical Requirements
- Minimum high school education
- Candidates with previous experience in receiving and distribution of materials in the construction industry will be given preference
Business Requirements
- One World/JD Edwards experience considered an asset
- Must have good computer skills
- Knowledge in the proper use of different hand tools
- Strong organizational & time management skills

- Able to communicate well with others
- Strong interpersonal skills to work in a unionized environment
