The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement across the plant, helping deliver annual business targets while strengthening the Ball Manufacturing Excellence management system. This role partners with operations, quality, and cross functional teams to embed standards, drive performance improvements, and support both short and long term business objectives.
How You'll Make a Difference

- Lead Ball Manufacturing Excellence self-assessments and execute improvement plans that embed operational standards into daily ways of working.
- Develop and maintain the plant Manufacturing Excellence master plan to support short and long term business objectives.
- Lead critical cross functional projects that enable or directly deliver Fuel for Growth savings and operational value.
- Plan, facilitate, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies such as VSM, 5S, SMED, PDCA, and TPM.
- Act as a change agent by coaching employees and leaders using GROW coaching techniques to support engagement and adoption.
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts through training, facilitation, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data using statistical tools to identify trends, support decisions, and improve performance.
What Helps You Thrive in This Role

- University degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean tools and systems with a proven track record of leading Lean improvement projects.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis, with Six Sigma Green Belt certification required and Black Belt certification desirable.
- Experience applying advanced statistical methods such as DOE and ANOVA within Six Sigma projects is desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence at our Ludesch plant.
Hiring Rate: from 6000 EUR gross per month. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.
Bonus Plan : This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.
