Job Purpose
Support the Global Business Process Owner (BPO) in driving the global harmonization, standardization, implementation and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Inbound to Outbound Logistics process landscape.
The role ensures sustainable and scalable logistics and material flow processes aligned with the company’s target operating model and future SAP S/4HANA architecture. The Business Process Expert acts as a key interface between business and IT, translating operational requirements and physical material flow needs into standardized processes and sustainable system solutions.
The Business Process Expert contributes to process governance, deployment activities, business transformation and operational excellence across all global manufacturing, warehouse and distribution locations.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Support the development, harmonization and global implementation of standardized end-to-end Inbound to Outbound Logistics processes
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, process quality, transparency and system integration
• Support global SAP S/4HANA and logistics transformation programs by defining business process requirements and ensuring alignment with the global target process model
• Act as a bridge between business and IT by translating warehouse, logistics and material flow requirements into functional process and system requirements
• Contribute to fit-to-standard process design and challenge local process variations and system requirements against the global process standard
• Analyze the complete physical material flow from inbound receiving through warehousing and production supply to picking, shipping and outbound execution
• Ensure effective process integration across Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, Logistics and IT
• Support process governance activities including process documentation, process performance management, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Execute process analysis and identify improvement opportunities based on operational KPIs, business requirements and logistics process performance data
• Identify root causes of material flow inefficiencies, inventory discrepancies, manual workarounds and recurring operational issues and support the development of sustainable process solutions
• Support testing, system qualification and deployment activities related to process and system changes
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality, Logistics and IT organizations
• Drive transparency and process excellence by establishing a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making
• Support organizational change management, training and user adoption during transformation and deployment initiatives
• Coordinate process-related housekeeping, inventory and master data quality initiatives within the supported systems landscape
Skills & Technical Competences & Behaviors
Technical Competencies:
• Strong business process expertise across end-to-end warehouse, logistics and physical material flow processes within a global industrial environment
• Deep understanding of material flows from inbound receipt through warehousing, inventory management and production supply to picking, packing, shipping and outbound execution
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, internal movements, storage, replenishment, inventory management, production staging, picking, packing and shipping
• Strong understanding of the interfaces between warehouse operations, manufacturing, procurement, customer fulfillment, quality and transportation
• Ability to analyze physical and system-based material flows, identify operational issues and translate business requirements into sustainable process and system solutions
• Strong understanding of how ERP, warehouse management and SAP S/4HANA solutions enable end-to-end logistics processes
• Experience with SAP ERP environments, preferably SAP S/4HANA, with relevant knowledge of:
- SAP Materials Management and Inventory Management
- Inbound and Outbound Delivery Processing
- Warehouse Management concepts and processes
- SAP EWM and/or SAP WM as supporting warehouse solutions
- Inventory and Stock Transfer Processes
- Handling Units and logistics execution
- Integration points to SAP PP / PP-PI, SD, MM and QM
- Integration with transportation solutions and external logistics providers
• Experience in global transformation programs and ERP deployments
• Strong analytical and process modelling capabilities
• Knowledge of BPM methodologies, process governance and continuous improvement approaches
• Understanding of fit-to-standard principles and the ability to distinguish between genuine operational requirements and unnecessary process or system complexity
