Key Responsibilities:

- Utilizes, creates or establishes procedures to manage large, complex transactions; attends closings and manages closing files; coordinates workflow and manages and controls execution of closing documents; tracks, obtains and organizes pre- and post-closing documents to assure performance of obligations.
- Assists in drafting, managing and organizing various documents related to real estate transactions, including escrow instructions, title and survey review, entity formations, UCC searches, local transfer requirements and due diligence research.
- Drafts closing documents including, but not limited to, closing agendas, basic agreements and third-party consents; compiles information and prepares schedules and exhibits to agreements.
- Assists with all aspects of due diligence for real estate transactions, including ordering and reviewing title reports, zoning reports, and surveys.
- Assists with post-closing matters including, but not limited to, mailings, creating electronic closing binders and transfer notices.
- Maintains timely and accurate timekeeping records.

- Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including arranging for processing and payment of invoices from third party vendors utilized.

- Requires manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, handle objects and operate tools.
- Some filing is required and this would entail the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk from workstation, to desk or to go to various offices to retrieve assignments. This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time.

Education & Prior Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of real estate paralegal experience within a law firm required, with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the commercial real estate practice area.
- Title & Survey ordering and review experience required.

Technology

- Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications required, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and computerized online research.
- Exceptional computer skills required, with the ability to learn new software applications, including artificial intelligence tools, quickly.
- Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.

- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support daily workflow and/or improve work quality.

Physical Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from workstation or desk throughout the work area to work independently or with a team to meet with colleagues or supervisor and retrieve work assignments.
- This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires manual dexterity to use a phone, enter data into a computer, handle objects, and use office equipment.
- Some filing is required and this would entail the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.



The expected pay range for this position is:
from $44.25 to $50.89 per hour
