Job Title: Driver Recruiter Job Description
The Recruiting Lead Caller supports the driver recruiting effort by placing a high volume of outbound calls to previously generated driver leads. The goal is to re-engage the lead, ask a short set of screening questions, and transfer interested and qualified candidates to a Recruiter. This entry-level, temporary position is ideal for someone with call center or high-volume customer service experience who is persistent, comfortable on the phone, and resilient in the face of rejection.
Responsibilities
- Place outbound calls to previously generated driver leads, averaging approximately 100 calls per day.
- Re-engage prior applicants and leads using approved call scripts and talking points.
- Ask a short set of approved screening questions to determine whether the lead remains interested and meets basic qualification criteria.
- Transfer interested and qualified candidates to a Recruiter promptly, providing a brief summary of the screening results.
- Accurately log call outcomes, contact attempts, and screening responses in the applicant tracking system.
- Maintain and update lead contact information, including marking leads as not interested, unreachable, or requesting no further contact.
- Honor all do-not-call and opt-out requests immediately and record them in accordance with company procedure.
- Ask only approved screening questions and refer all other applicant questions to a Recruiter.
- Meet daily and weekly call volume, contact, and transfer goals established by the Director of Recruiting.
- Receive and act on coaching and direction to improve call quality and conversion.
- Maintain the confidentiality of applicant information at all times.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work a consistent schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week
- Comfort placing a high volume of outbound calls throughout the shift
- Call center, telemarketing, inside sales, or high-volume customer service experience preferred
- Experience using an applicant tracking system, customer relationship management (CRM) system, or similar database preferred
- Familiarity with the trucking or transportation industry preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
