Job Title: Front Desk/Receptionist Job Description The Front Desk/Receptionist provides professional front desk and administrative support to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment. You will greet visitors, manage incoming calls, support meeting room coordination, and perform a variety of administrative and data entry tasks that help the department run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner and ensure they are directed to the appropriate person or meeting room.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly while providing accurate information and assistance.
- Set up meeting rooms, including coordinating bookings, preparing spaces, and ensuring rooms are ready for use.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area at all times.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to support office and departmental needs.
- Provide general administrative support, such as filing, document preparation, and handling correspondence.
- Use Microsoft Office applications to prepare, update, and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and other materials.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to internal staff and external visitors, addressing inquiries and resolving basic issues.
- Assist with other front desk and office support duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations.
Essential Skills
- 12 years of experience working in a receptionist, front desk, or similar administrative support role.
- Proven experience managing a reception area and providing front desk support.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional presence at the front desk.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dedicated reception, front-of-house role, or similar.
- Background in general administrative support within an office environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support different departments as needed.
- Comfort with learning and using office systems and tools related to reception and scheduling.
Work Environment This role is based in an office environment at the main reception area, where you serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. You will work at a front desk using standard office equipment and Microsoft Office software throughout the day. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
