About this role
Blue Streak is seeking a hands-on Field Supervisor to lead fiber optic field operations throughout the Atlanta metro area. You will coordinate crews, support safe and productive jobsites, and help deliver quality work from construction through testing and closeout.
Responsibilities
- Supervise fiber optic crews and subcontractors at active jobsites; set daily priorities and monitor progress.
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, site access, and work schedules with project managers and customers.
- Check work for quality across fiber placement, splicing, testing, restoration, and project closeout.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure crews follow company, customer, and project requirements.
- Review production and job documentation, including daily reports, photos, and material records.
- Coach team members, resolve routine field issues, and escalate schedule, quality, or safety concerns promptly.
- Travel between jobsites across the Atlanta metro area as project needs require.
Qualifications
- Experience in fiber optic construction, splicing, testing, or a related telecommunications field.
- Previous field leadership or crew supervision experience.
- Ability to read construction plans, prints, and work orders; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local jobsites.
- Ability to work outdoors and meet the physical requirements of field operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading fiber construction or splicing crews.
- Familiarity with OTDR testing, fiber test documentation, and project closeout.
- OSHA or other relevant safety training; experience coordinating subcontractors and customer-facing field work.
