We are hiring a hands-on Robot Service Technician in Lakeland, FL to support the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of autonomous delivery robots.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in automotive repair, dealership service, manufacturing, mechanical/electrical assembly, mechatronics, or equipment maintenance who wants to apply those skills to autonomous and robotic technology.
You do not need previous robotics experience. We are looking for strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
As a Robot Service Technician, you will:
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on autonomous delivery robots
- Assemble and install wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic components
- Install and replace sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors
- Test components including batteries, suspension systems, sensors, and electrical systems
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and assist with incident investigations
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components
- Support rapid prototyping and testing of new components and systems
- Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and inventory
- Travel between local sites when field support is required
- Assist engineering and R&D teams with testing and new projects
What We're Looking For
Candidates should have hands-on technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Automotive repair or dealership service
- Manufacturing or production
- Mechanical or electrical assembly
- Equipment maintenance and repair
- Mechatronics, robotics, or electromechanical systems
- Field service or technical service
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using mechanical and electrical tools
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience assembling and disassembling equipment or products
- Ability to install and work with electronic components and modules
- Familiarity with AC/DC electrical systems
- Ability to use measuring and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings
- Strong computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record for the previous 12 months
- Ability to lift and move items weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to work onsite and provide local field support
- Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a technical team
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive technician or dealership service experience
- Manufacturing or production technician experience
- Robotics, mechatronics, or electromechanical experience
- Electrical wiring and connector experience
- Soldering experience
Schedule
Operating hours: 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Sunday . Candidates must have schedule flexibility, including weekend coverage as needed.
