The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations through the safe handling, movement, and processing of materials. This role is responsible for receiving, sorting, and transferring materials including recycling and bulk products while maintaining accurate inventory records. Working closely with warehouse and operations teammates, this position helps ensure materials are handled efficiently and in alignment with safety and environmental standards. Success in this role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to working safely. Key Responsibilities Include:

- Receive and process inbound materials including containerized recycling and bulk products

- Sort, characterize, and transfer materials into appropriate storage or bulk containers

- Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment

- Transfer bulk products into drums, totes, and pails following established procedures

- Inspect materials for nonconformance and follow required processes for resolution

- Use warehouse management systems and scanners to maintain accurate inventory records

- Prepare materials for shipment including packaging, labeling, and documentation

- Complete hazardous material handling and documentation in compliance with regulations

- Wrap and stage pallets to ensure safe and efficient transport

- Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Collaborate with teammates to support daily warehouse and operational needs

- Identify and communicate equipment, inventory, or process issues to leadership

- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Education:

- High School diploma or equivalent

Experience/Training:

- Experience in a warehouse, recycling, or material handling environment

Licenses/Certificates:

- Ability to obtain forklift certification within company guidelines

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

- Basic math skills and attention to detail

- Ability to safely handle materials including hazardous materials

- Experience using warehouse systems, scanners, or ERP tools

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Previous forklift operation experience

- Experience with hazardous materials handling or DOT requirements

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or ERP platforms

- Experience in recycling, environmental services, or regulated environments

Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands and arms

- Ability to lift and move materials between 25 and 60 pounds, occasionally more

- Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment

- Work performed in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels

- Exposure to varying temperatures and material handling conditions

- Use of personal protective equipment when handling certain materials

- Ability to remain alert and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment
