Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is a newly created position within the FP&A team and will work closely with the Consumer business, including the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. This role will assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and profitability analysis, providing data-driven insights that support planning, decision-making, and execution of strategic initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Support the annual budget process, including the collection, validation, consolidation, and analysis of business assumptions.
- Analyze key P&L metrics and performance drivers, including revenue, volume, price, promotions, cost of goods sold, and SG&A.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis versus budget and prior year.
- Support month-end close activities by validating results, investigating variances, and identifying key business drivers.
- Perform profitability analysis by business segment, customer, product group, and other relevant dimensions to support commercial and operational teams.
- Maintain and enhance Power BI reports and other financial reporting tools to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and visibility.
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to translate financial results and operational trends into clear, actionable business insights.
- Assist with business cases and profitability analyses to support innovation, new product launches, marketing investment decisions, and other strategic projects.
- Leverage Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools to automate recurring work, improve data visibility, and increase reporting efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, data quality, and planning capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or related business finance roles.
- Consumer products/manufacturing and business partnership experience a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling with large datasets.
- Strong analytical capabilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization preferred.
