Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a sharp DevSecOps Engineer/Administrator to join our growing team!

We have an exciting opportunity located in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. The TAP Lab is the U.S. Space Force’s premier remote sensing application development laboratory, with extensive computer and network infrastructure and physical facilities that provide a complete computing environment across multiple levels of data classification. This position is onsite only, with expected working hours of Monday through Friday, 0900–1500 .

What You Will Be Doing :

- Establish and maintain DevSecOps environments used by software and systems engineering teams to develop and deploy applications and services.
- Configure and manage the suite of applications that enable pipelines and workflows within DevSecOps environments.
- Analyze and maintain system performance, including server stress, capacity, and efficient resource utilization.
- Collaborate with software developers and systems engineers to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize applications and pipelines.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters.
- Coordinate tasks and technical activities between development and operations teams.
- Research, design, implement, and manage software programs and supporting infrastructure.
- Test and evaluate new software capabilities and technologies.
- Assist with onboarding new development teams to DevSecOps environments and processes.
- Identify areas for modification in existing programs and develop, test, and implement those modifications.
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, configuration, and upgrade processes for software applications and supporting services.
- Collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and systems analysts.
- Automate security controls and integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Configure and support infrastructure-as-code and GitOps-based deployment practices.
- Work with tools and technologies such as GitLab, Docker, Java, Python, Bash, YAML, Kubernetes, Flux, Rancher, Grafana, and Helm.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

- Active Secret security clearance , with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance if required.
- Bachelor’s degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count towards total years of experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience with Unix/Linux scripting, including Bash, tcsh, or ksh.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with orchestration, provisioning, and containerization technologies.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and practices, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience using software engineering and collaboration tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

What Desired Skills You Might Bring :

- Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform and/or Terragrunt.
- Experience with Flux or other GitOps-based continuous delivery and cluster deployment tools.
- Strong experience with Rancher, Grafana, Helm, and related Kubernetes management and observability stacks.
- Experience with software scanning tools such as Grype or Artifactory Xray.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production or mission-critical environments.
- Experience with container monitoring and security tools such as Prisma Cloud Compute or similar products.
- Experience with the design and development of software applications or algorithms for data management, processing, analysis, and/or visualization.
- Experience supporting software systems as a subject matter expert in an aerospace or space systems environment.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts at different stages of the assessment and evaluation lifecycle.
- Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution involving the full spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities.
- Security+ certification.
- Linux+ certification.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
