About this role

## About the team
We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Technologist or Marketing Data Engineer in the Marketing Tech and Operations space to help build highly coordinated and efficient infrastructure that powers Zillow's marketing organization. We serve as technical liaison between marketing, product, engineering, and marketing vendor teams to bring all partners together toward a common goal. As part of the CDP team, you will integrate with and operate on various marketing systems and will be a key point person for data infrastructure that supports critical marketing initiatives and campaigns.
This role performs a combination of hands-on-keyboard work and technical program management, working collaboratively to deliver capabilities and empower our customers. The ideal candidate shines in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and has a balance of program management and hands-on technical skills. If you like solving complex problems and are passionate about enabling marketing teams and delivering the vision of Zillow 2.0, we want to hear from you!

About the role

You will get to:

- Play a key role in the configuration of the Customer Data Platform and other marketing systems to enable centralized customer data management and power marketing campaigns

- Drive the marketing technology roadmap by onboarding new platforms, including requirements definition, solution design, testing and validation, and training of end user teams

- Be involved in shaping MarTech systems design and contribute to technical architecture discussions and decisions to establish a flexible, scalable, and secure tech stack
- Translate business requirements to technical specifications, identifying data needs to enable marketing to deliver a personalized customer experience
- Build integrations between systems and APIs, write queries to transform and validate data, and develop ETLs to federate data to a variety of channels
- Develop and utilize AI tools to build solutions, automate processes, and streamline workflows

- Collaborate with teams across marketing, product, and engineering to develop and implement detailed technical project plans
- Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, balance business needs versus technical constraints and refine scope to deliver the best product possible on schedule

- Contribute to prototypes, code samples, demos, and peer reviews

- Coordinate with other dev dependencies to align cross-tech team sprint schedules

- Document and maintain standardized and efficient processes, automating as much as possible

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

- Proven track record of leading cross-functional groups to deliver quality products on time
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects with little supervision
- Able to proactively identify dependencies/blockers and work with engineering teams to mitigate risk

- Exhibit a collaborative working style with a strong focus on execution and results
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective in communicating with both technical and non-technical partners
- Ability to influence without direct authority and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
- Have the modesty to question assumptions, seek broad input, and validate iteratively
- Dedicated to operational excellence, clear communication and take ownership of your work
