About this role
This position requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and keep hiring managers and candidates moving through the process. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization where priorities can change quickly and where strong follow-through is critical.
This position requires working on-site 5 days a week in our Irving, TX office.
What you'll do:
- Own the full-cycle recruiting process from intake through hire, including job description development, posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiations, background checks, and onboarding coordination.
- Conduct thorough recruiting intake meetings with hiring managers to understand the role, expectations, must-have qualifications, compensation, interview process, and hiring timeline before launching a search.
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies, particularly for hard-to-fill and niche positions.
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn and other recruiting channels.
- Conduct initial candidate screens and provide hiring managers with concise, relevant candidate summaries and recommendations.
- Manage interview scheduling and ensure candidates and hiring managers have the information they need before each interview.
- Drive the hiring process forward by following up with hiring managers for feedback, next steps, interview availability, and decisions.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process, including when hiring manager feedback or decisions are pending.
- Manage multiple searches simultaneously across different companies, functions, locations, and levels.
- Initiate and manage candidate background checks and coordinate any required pre-employment steps.
- Prepare and manage offers, including coordinating internal approvals and offer negotiations.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information in Lever, our ATS.
- Ensure recruiting activity, interview feedback, candidate status, and other required information is documented accurately.
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership at all levels while building strong, professional relationships.
- Identify potential roadblocks early and proactively communicate issues rather than waiting for them to become problems.
- Follow established recruiting processes while also being comfortable adapting when business needs change.
What you’ll navigate:
- A niche talent landscape, particularly for positions requiring water/wastewater, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or related industry experience.
- Limited candidate pools in certain markets, requiring creativity, persistence, and the ability to think beyond traditional job boards.
- Multiple hiring managers with different communication styles, expectations, and levels of recruiting experience.
- A fast-growing organization where priorities can shift quickly and new positions may be added frequently.
- Recruiting across multiple UFT companies and functions, requiring the ability to quickly understand different businesses, roles, and hiring needs.
- Competing priorities where strong time management, organization, and follow-through are essential.
- The need to balance speed with a high-quality candidate experience and thorough recruiting process.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience managing recruiting processes from intake through hire with minimal oversight
- Experience recruiting for industrial, construction, engineering, manufacturing, water/wastewater, or other technical roles is a plus
- Strong sourcing skills, including experience using LinkedIn and other recruiting tools to identify and engage passive candidates
- Experience working directly with hiring managers and managing multiple searches simultaneously
- Strong ATS experience; Lever experience is a plus
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong follow-through and the ability to consistently close the loop with candidates and hiring managers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable having direct conversations with hiring managers and respectfully pushing for feedback, decisions, and next steps
- Proactive problem-solver who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done
- Able to prioritize effectively and stay focused in a fast-paced, changing environment
