SUMMARY:
Performs hands-on laboratory and technical support activities, including enterprise server provisioning, hardware assembly, integration, troubleshooting, testing, validation, and qualification to support engineering development and product readiness efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provision, configure, and maintain enterprise server platforms, including Windows and Linux operating systems, BIOS settings, firmware revisions, storage subsystems, and related hardware and software components.
- Set up, organize, and maintain engineering laboratories, test benches, equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Prepare and deploy enterprise server platforms for air-cooled, immersion-cooled, and direct-to-chip liquid cooling test environments.
- Cut, prepare, apply, and assist with the installation of thermal interface materials (TIMs), thermal pads, and related thermal management components.
- Perform server assembly, disassembly, upgrades, integration, hardware modifications, soldering, cable fabrication, connector termination, prototype assembly, and hardware rework activities in support of engineering development.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instrumentation and diagnostic equipment used for product validation and troubleshooting.
- Support engineers in system validation, troubleshooting, failure analysis, root cause investigation, and performance testing activities.
- Collect, analyze, document, and communicate test data, procedures, results, work instructions, and equipment records.
- Ensure compliance with established laboratory safety procedures, ESD controls, quality standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the evaluation, installation, and qualification of new hardware, equipment, and laboratory infrastructure as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development, integration, testing, and customer demonstrations.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information, engineering data, designs, customer information, and intellectual property in accordance with company policies.
- Learn about companys business as appropriate. Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.

Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, block diagrams, technical specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision assembly equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
- CompTIA A+ certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience supporting hardware development, validation, testing, or datacenter/server platforms.
- Experience working in engineering laboratories, R&D environments, or product development organizations.
- Familiarity with enterprise server architectures from OEMs such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting thermal testing, liquid cooling technologies, or high-performance computing environments.
- Proficiency with engineering laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, data acquisition systems, and thermal measurement instrumentation.
- Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.
