American Statecraft Program

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a renowned international affairs   institution with headquarters in Washington,   is seeking a full-time program   assistant   to work with   scholars in our Washington, DC-based   American Statecraft Program.   The American Statecraft Program conducts analysis of U.S. foreign policy at the strategic level with the aim of helping America adjust to the challenges of the mid-21 st century.

The position   will provide   programmatic and   administrative   support   to the   American Statecraft Program, reporting to the Program Director. Duties will include tracking program budgets; monitoring expenses; processing payment requests; supporting program initiatives; contributing to grant writing, proposal preparation, and grants management; assisting in drafting and editing   donor communications and program materials;   tracking   project deliverables; managing the program calendar and individual calendars, including scheduling meetings ; planning and executing virtual and in-person events including conferences, workshops, and roundtables; drafting and distributing event invitations; and maintaining the program's contact database. This role will also coordinate closely with other Carnegie programs   and departments.

The ideal candidate   will   have a bachelor's degree   and approximately 1 year of experience   providing logistical, administrative, budgetary/financial,   grant -related ,   and event -related   support.   Teamwork, w riting,   exceptional communication ,   detail orientation, and organizational skills are requirements . Familiarity with issues related to American Foreign Policy are a plus   but not   require d . T his is not a research position.

Located in Dupont Circle, we offer an outstanding work environment and generous benefits (including health insurance). The   anticipated   salary range for this position is $5 0 ,000 -   5 2 ,000 . Please note that this position will   operate   on a hybrid basis, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
