Job Title: Electrical Engineer III (Temporary) Job Description The Electrical Engineer III (Temp) supports the design, development, and troubleshooting of AC power systems, cable harnesses, and electrical assemblies for complex electromechanical products. This role requires strong hands-on electrical hardware design experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment. The engineer collaborates closely with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, safe, and reliable product performance. Responsibilities

- Design and refine AC power distribution circuits, wiring schemes, and related electrical subsystems for complex electromechanical products.
- Develop cable harnesses and electrical assemblies, including creating schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and detailed assembly documentation.
- Validate electrical designs through testing, verification, and compliance checks to ensure alignment with safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including systems, mechanical, and manufacturing, to resolve electrical design challenges and support ongoing development activities.
- Provide engineering input on design-for-manufacturing (DFM) considerations for harnesses and electrical assemblies.
- Update documentation, drawings, and work instructions as needed to support manufacturing and sustaining engineering activities.
- Troubleshoot power circuits, harness faults, grounding issues, and continuity problems using hands-on diagnostic methods.
- Support continuous improvement of electrical designs and processes to enhance reliability, safety, and manufacturability.

Essential Skills

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 58+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Strong background in AC power systems design, wiring practices, and electrical safety standards.
- Experience designing cable harnesses, connectors, and assembly-level electrical components.
- Skilled in hands-on troubleshooting of power circuits, harness faults, grounding issues, and continuity problems.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards such as UL and IEC.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience working with electro-mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for harnesses and electrical assemblies.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in AC power and cable design.
- Experience contributing to design-for-manufacturing (DFM) for electrical and harness assemblies.

Employees follow a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off. Appropriate professional attire and adherence to standard engineering and laboratory safety practices are expected when working in design, lab, or production areas.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cockeysville, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
