Base Wage Scale: $26.52 to $27.10 per hour.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime. This role executes mechanical and electrical repairs while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Core Duties
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and work orders to ensure equipment reliability and production uptime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on plant machinery.
- Diagnose technical issues and perform root-cause analysis to minimize recurring downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately within the digital work order system.
- Support the installation, modification, and startup of new production equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety, food safety (SQF/HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Assist with departmental project work and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and operational concerns clearly with production, maintenance, quality assurance, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a maintenance role or a similar industrial or technical field.
- Technical trade school certification or equivalent maintenance experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment is considered a strong plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to follow technical manuals, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols with high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems used in an industrial environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
- Ability to document maintenance work, parts usage, and equipment status accurately and on time.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with production and support departments.
- Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, sanitation, GMPs, HACCP requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Stand and walk on concrete or production flooring for the majority of an 8-hour shift, plus any required overtime.
- Use hands and arms extensively while operating tools, handling parts, and completing equipment repairs.
- Frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in confined or elevated areas as required.
- Lift, carry, and move tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with team assistance as needed.
- Work in production and facility environments that may include hot, cold, refrigerated, wet, humid, noisy, or dusty conditions.
- Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safely work around moving equipment, electrical systems, and production machinery.
