Title: Spec, IT - Disaster Recovery & Resilience

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico

Your Role

In this role, you will support Baxter’s operational resilience objectives by planning, coordinating, documenting and reporting on application recovery testing across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. You will partner with System Owners, infrastructure teams, cloud service providers, manufacturing operations and business stakeholders to improve recovery readiness, maintain disaster recovery documentation and validate recovery capabilities.

You will play a key role in the Application Recovery Program by coordinating disaster recovery testing, facilitating tabletop exercises, tracking remediation and providing clear program metrics and reporting. Success in this role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, documentation and analytical skills, together with a practical understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity and technology resilience.

What You’ll be Doing

- Lead enterprise coordination of application recovery testing activities.
- Develop annual testing schedules and track status, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Partner with System Owners and technical teams to define test scope, objectives, success criteria and recovery validation requirements.
- Facilitate test planning, execution and post-test reviews.
- Track remediation actions and drive timely closure of testing findings.
- Support the development, maintenance and governance of Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Assist System Owners in documenting recovery procedures, dependencies, recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives.
- Maintain centralized repositories for recovery plans, test evidence and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate disaster recovery tabletop exercises and develop scenarios, discussion guides and after-action reports.
- Document lessons learned and support resilience assessments and recovery readiness reviews.
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, executive summaries and testing reports.
- Track testing completion, action items, compliance measures and program performance.
- Support audit, regulatory and governance activities related to disaster recovery and resilience.
- Present test results and program updates clearly to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate across application, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, manufacturing and business teams.
- Support continuous improvement of recovery planning, testing and reporting processes.
- Other responsibilities as requested by management.

What you’ll bring

- 3–5 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, IT Operations, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, PMO or a related discipline.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience coordinating recovery tests, tabletop exercises or resilience validation activities.
- Ability to develop reports, presentations, process documentation and executive-level communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and support peers in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, cyber resilience and operational resilience concepts.
- Understanding of recovery planning concepts, including recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives, application dependencies, backup and recovery, and resilience testing.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, including AWS, and on-premises infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, operational technology or regulated environments is preferred.
- Exposure to audit, compliance or risk management programs is preferred.
- Self-motivated, accountable and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field; military service or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge may be considered.

- Preferred certifications include ITIL Foundation, CAPM or PMP, CBCP, EDRP and AWS Cloud Practitioner.
