About this role

Chambliss Center for Children | Part-time, about 20 hours/week | $20/hour | Flexible schedule

Are you a marketer who wants your work to change a child's life?

Chambliss Center for Children is a Chattanooga nonprofit that provides 24/7/365 care for children, youth and families, including early childhood education, residential care and foster care services. Our foster care program trains and supports families caring for children ages 0–17 who have experienced abuse, abandonment or neglect.

We are looking for a creative, self-starting marketer to lead our campaign to recruit more foster families in the Chattanooga area. You will own the strategy, content, partnerships and results, with the freedom to build the campaign from the ground up.

What you'll do

- Build and run the campaign. Launch a multi-channel campaign (social media, digital, print, video and earned media) that shows the urgent need for foster families.

- Create compelling content. Produce photos, short videos, graphics and copy that tell the foster care story with dignity and inspire action.

- Grow community and church partnerships. Build relationships with local congregations, faith groups and community organizations, and present to whole groups about becoming foster families.

- Target the right audiences. Focus outreach on families who can care for sibling groups and older children and teens, where the need is greatest.

- Present and host events. Lead information sessions and community events, and represent the Center with the media.

- Measure and adjust. Track inquiries, engagement and campaign results, and use the data to sharpen your strategy.

What we're looking for

- Marketing, communications, PR or social media experience (required); associate's degree in a related field (preferred)

- Hands-on content skills: photography, videography and basic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), plus MS Office

- Strategic, independent and comfortable with data; a strong writer and confident presenter to groups

- Knowledge of the Chattanooga community; church or faith community connections are a plus

- Cultural competency and sensitivity in working with diverse families

- Access to a vehicle and a clean driving record (regional travel is part of the job)

Schedule and pay

- About 20 hours per week at $20/hour

- Flexible hours set around the work, including some evenings and weekends for events and presentations

- Grant-funded position
