About this role
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Lab Assistant II will assist with laboratory experiments and procedures, including preparation of research subjects/specimens, tissue preparation and dissection, ex vivo laryngeal studies, and the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. Lab Assistant II will also assist with maintaining laboratory supplies, work areas, safety records and research documentation; process and organize experimental data; and perform other laboratory support duties as assigned.
Hourly salary range: $27.54 - $33.13
This is a limited, part-time appointment that may convert to career.
Required:
- Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and two years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and one year of laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Anatomy and physiology
- Skill to maintain accurate scientific records.
- Strong communication skills.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities
