Job Description:

Field Placement Liaisons are responsible for facilitating and guiding learning and providing an effective learning environment for all students in an experiential education atmosphere. They require flexible work

hours in order to supervise students in their field placements in collaboration with the on-site supervisor in the community. Responsibilities also include implementing the established field curriculum and assessing

student assignments as part of a co-requisite course. Placement Liaisons are also required to make two on site placement visits during both daytime and evenings as per agency operational hours.

Remuneration will be per student assignment and for transportation costs. Contracts will be issues term to term and are dependent upon operational need.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of a Diploma in Developmental Services Worker, or closely related field of study.
- Minimum three (3) years experience as a front line DSW within a variety of settings.
- Highly effective communication and organizational skills.
- Strong group facilitation skills.
- Strong conflict management, problem solving and advocacy skills with a focus on student success.
- Supervisory experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a computerized environment including proficiency using Microsoft Office, Zoom
- and experience or ability to work with a learning management system such as Brightspace. All
- successful applicants are required to participate in Brightspace training.
