About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

Siemens Electrification & Automation is launching a new manufacturing facility in Knightdale, NC, producing integrated electrical skid assemblies for data centers, utility, renewable energy, and industrial customers.
We are looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager for our new Skid Assembly facility in Knightdale, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
Overview:
We're looking for a Quality Control & Testing Manager to lead the quality function for this greenfield operation. This is a unique opportunity to establish quality systems, drive ISO certification, and create a culture of operational excellence from the ground up.
Impact:
In this role, you will:
- Lead the quality and testing organization for a new Siemens manufacturing facility
- Establish ISO-certified quality systems and scalable processes for the facility
- Drive continuous improvement, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure successful testing and validation of integrated solutions
- Help shape the plant culture, standards, and long-term operational strategy
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily quality inspection and testing operations
- Develop and maintain quality management systems, inspections, tool tracking and calibration and testing protocols
- Prepare the facility for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification
- Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
- Drive quality performance through KPIs, yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost-of-quality initiatives
- Support production teams through daily Tier and GEMBA engagements
- Partner with Supplier Quality to improve incoming quality and supplier performance
- Oversee NCRs, RMAs, and customer quality concerns
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence with emphasis on Siemens' Zero Harm safety culture
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of quality engineering, quality management, testing, or manufacturing quality experience
- Experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems and ISO standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes
- Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing measurement and testing equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical testing of low-voltage power and control systems (similar or equivalent to NFPA CESCP)
- Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, protection systems, power distribution, BESS, or renewable energy applications
- Experience with APQP, AS9145, 8D, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies, e.g. ASQ certification
- Software application knowledge including SieOps, Salesforce, SAP, and MS Teams
- 6S methodology knowledge and certification
- Experience in metal fabrication, electrical assembly, or industrial manufacturing environments

The pay range for this position is $102,459 - $175,644 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
