Position Overview:

As a Team Lead Machinist, you will play a key role in driving daily production operations and supporting critical manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. You will lead by example, ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will utilize engineering drawings, industry standards, lean manufacturing principles, and best practices to optimize processes, resolve production challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for developing efficient, high-performing production operations. You'll leverage SAP and other business systems to manage workflows, track performance, and support operational success.

What your day may look like:

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Purchasing, Material Control, and Production, to resolve discrepancies, troubleshoot production issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage SAP production orders, maintain accurate production records, enter data into databases and logbooks, and analyze performance metrics to develop actionable improvements.
- Lead daily work execution with minimal supervision by prioritizing tasks, scheduling activities, participating in production meetings, and supporting multiple operational areas, including Assembly, Test, Material, and Quality.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor by training and certifying team members on internal and external processes, standards, products, and manufacturing best practices.
- Champion workplace organization, safety, and operational excellence through 5S activities, housekeeping, data-driven process ownership, cross-functional support, and other duties as assigned.

What will make you successful in this role:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
- Intermediate computer proficiency and ability to work within manufacturing systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $19.40 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
