JOB SUMMARY:

Northeastern University's Galante Engineering Business Program offers a progressive opportunity for engineering students to complement their technical education with business skills by earning a graduate certificate in engineering business. The Program is founded on the values of student engagement and leadership to strengthen interpersonal and professional skills. The Program Coordinator provides elevated, strategic-level support for the Galante Engineering Business Program, working alongside the Program Director to oversee a community of up to 50 Galante Engineering Business Fellows. This role expands on core program coordination duties to include ownership of program marketing and communications, stewardship of stakeholder relationships, and oversight of Fellows' academic and co-curricular progress. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary program marketing owner, driving visibility and engagement through a full range of channels including tabling events, information sessions, town halls, social media, newsletters, and targeted outreach. They lead effective communication with a diverse set of stakeholders including Fellows, alumni, benefactors, university administration, faculty, and industry partners to foster a strong, enduring program community. Additionally, this role carries responsibility for monitoring and supporting Fellows' academic progression, ensuring individual course plans align with program requirements and milestones. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven professional with strong organizational, analytical, and creative capabilities, who thrives at the intersection of academic program management, communications, and student success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, communications, or a related field, preferably in higher education.
- Demonstrated proficiency in design and marketing tools, including website design, flyer and brochure creation, social media content creation, and engaging slide decks.
- Experience designing and managing advanced email marketing campaigns (e.g., MailChimp or equivalent platforms).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); ability to analyze data, generate charts, and create summary reports.
- Strong experience managing multi-channel marketing and communications strategies, including social media, events, and digital outreach.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, alumni, donors and benefactors, faculty, and university administration.
- Familiarity with academic advising processes, degree audit systems, or course planning tools is strongly preferred.
- Superior written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- General familiarity with budgeting and purchasing systems.
- Some technical background or familiarity with basic engineering concepts is helpful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Program Marketing Ownership & Student Engagement:

- Serve as the primary owner of the Galante Program's marketing strategy and execution, developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-channel plan in collaboration with the Program Director and COE marketing.
- Drive program visibility and student recruitment through tabling events, information sessions, town halls, open houses, and campus-wide outreach, acting as the face of the program at these touchpoints.
- Manage and grow the program's social media presence, newsletters, and digital content calendar to consistently engage prospective and current Fellows, alumni, and university stakeholders.
- Build and maintain partnerships with COE student chapters, DMSB student organizations, and other campus entities to amplify program reach and engagement.
- Design promotional materials including flyers, signage, social graphics, brochures, and presentation decks that reflect the program's brand and values.

Event Coordination and Support:

- Collaborate with ARC budget personnel to manage accounts, budgets, expenses, invoices, and payment processes for all program events.
- Act as the primary point of contact and project leader during all Galante Engineering Business events, overseeing catering, setup, hosting, facilitation, and technical and logistical support.
- Coordinate with the Program Director to schedule, promote, execute, and finalize records for all events, including speaker coordination, space reservations, and materials production.
- Supervise event scheduling alongside internal meetings, presentations, and outreach events throughout the academic year

Stakeholder Communications & Relationship Stewardship:

- Lead effective, professional communications with all key program stakeholders including Galante Fellows, program alumni, industry benefactors, university administrators, faculty, and INC Board members to foster engagement, trust, and a strong program community.
- Serve as the author and curator of the weekly Galante newsletter, tailoring content to inform, engage, and connect the broader program community.
- Support the Program Director in cultivating relationships with donors and benefactors, including preparing correspondence, event invitations, thank-you communications, and relevant program updates.
- Coordinate alumni engagement initiatives, including tracking career trajectories post graduation and facilitating opportunities for alumni to contribute to the program.

Academic Curriculum Oversight & Fellows' Records Management:

- Monitor and support Fellows' academic progress, ensuring individual course plans align with program requirements, certificate milestones, and graduation timelines.
- Liaise with academic advisors and graduate program coordinators to resolve academic status issues, confirm enrollment in required courses, and ensure Fellows remain on track across both their engineering and Galante program pathways.
- Manage and maintain comprehensive applicant and Fellows' records internally within the Program and externally across the College of Engineering (undergraduate and graduate), including tracking academic milestones such as Commencement participation.
- Proactively identify Fellows at risk of falling off track and coordinate appropriate interventions with the Program Director and relevant advising staff.

Administrative Support for the Program Director:

- Provide general administrative support to the Program Director, including scheduling, correspondence preparation, reporting, and ad hoc program needs.

Expected Hiring Range:
$53,615.00 - $75,728.75

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
