About Our Wealth Management Development Program

Build your foundation for a career in wealth management. During Associated Bank’s 12-month Wealth Management Development Program, you’ll combine hands-on experience with dedicated training, projects and rotations across key areas of wealth management. You’ll build connections with peers, mentors and experienced colleagues while gaining exposure to how we help clients plan for and achieve their financial goals. Throughout the program, you’ll put what you’re learning into practice, explore different areas of the business and build the knowledge, confidence and experience to pursue future opportunities in wealth management at Associated Bank.

Join Associated Bank as a 2027 Wealth Management Trainee , where you’ll rotate through multiple Private Wealth disciplines and gain hands-on experience supporting real client work across financial planning, private banking, portfolio management, custom credit, trust, and retirement plan services. You'll contribute to actual client cases, develop an understanding of comprehensive wealth strategies, and explore a variety of career paths within Private Wealth while building the knowledge and experience needed for long-term success.

This role is located in Milwaukee, WI . The Wealth Management Development Program begins on May 24, 2027 .

Key Accountabilities

- Learn and understand the Private Wealth environment, including financial planning, investment management, private banking, trust services, retirement services, and wealth strategy delivery.
- Rotate through multiple Private Wealth disciplines to gain broad exposure to wealth management products, services, and client solutions.
- Support real client work, including financial plan development, cash flow analysis, credit presentations, investment research support, and other discipline-specific responsibilities.
- Collaborate with financial planners, portfolio managers, private bankers, trust professionals, credit specialists, retirement plan consultants, and other subject matter experts.
- Build relationships and professional networks across the Milwaukee market and broader Private Wealth organization.
- Expand knowledge and expertise through ongoing specialized training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Complete required program training and assignments while working toward professional certifications and licenses aligned with long-term career goals.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, organization, and effective communication throughout each rotation while contributing to team objectives and client outcomes.

Education & Experience

Required

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Planning, Investments, or a related field.
- Obtain applicable professional certification(s) and/or securities and insurance licenses aligned to career path (e.g., CFP®, CFA®, Series 7/66, Life, Health & LTCI) within 3-5 years.

Preferred

- Internship experience in Private Wealth, Financial Planning, Investments, Wealth Management, Banking, or a related financial services field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, organization, and time management skills.
