About this role
Scope:
- Contribute as a QA engineer for supply chain SaaS products with a particular focus on store-based kiosk dropoffs for returned retail goods. Support best practices across automation, test planning, execution, metrics, and release readiness.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automation frameworks and test suites for Returns workflows, APIs, integrations, and critical customer-facing capabilities.
- Work with other product development teams to improve test coverage for returns initiation, tracking, notifications, disposition decisions, inventory visibility, warehouse returns processing, and related reverse logistics workflows.
- Partner with Product Management, Platform Engineering, UX, Cloud Operations, Support, and implementation teams to help deliver high-quality software aligned to roadmap commitments and customer outcomes.
Our current technical environment:
- Software : Kotlin, Android, MongoDB, Amplitude, Sentry
- Hardware: Custom Android-based kiosks, scanners, printers, and sensors with proprietary SDKs.
- Automation Framework : Espresso, JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Robolectric
- DevOps : AWS, Azure, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Sauce Labs, Firebase, JFrog, Postman
- Architecture: Scalable, resilient, service-oriented architecture, distributed, asynchronous, offline-first, high availability.
What you’ll do:
- Apply QA automation and performance testing practices; provide input on options and recommendations as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automation frameworks, reusable scripts, and test suites.
- Determine test scenario priorities, create execution plans, and support coverage for critical features.
- Create clear, comprehensive test plans, test procedures, test cases, and automation documentation.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across functional, regression, API, database, performance, PSR, and security testing.
- Design, develop, execute, and analyze automated tests using open-source tools and CI/CD best practices.
- Identify, document, track, and help resolve defects; perform regression testing when issues are fixed.
- Partner with developers, product managers, UX, and cloud teams to clarify requirements, improve product quality, and support release readiness.
- Investigate causes of non-conforming software, monitor debugging results, and recommend practical solutions.
- Track QA metrics such as automation progress, defect density, open defects, execution results, and release readiness.
- Share knowledge with QA engineers on automation frameworks, testing standards, tools, and best practices.
- Stay current with new testing tools, libraries, and test strategies.
What we are looking for:
- BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA, or related degree with 5–8 years of experience in QA automation, software development, or quality assurance for large enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks such as Espresso, Kotlin, Roborazzi, JUnit, Git Actions & Android
- Knowledge of modern web development practices, OOP concepts, git, and branching strategies.
- Prior experience testing and introspecting Android devices in a live runtime environment using remote debugging tools.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and testing best practices.
- Experience testing web applications, RESTful services, APIs, databases, and complex enterprise workflows.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
- Experience with test management, defect tracking, reporting, and CI/CD tools such as Jira, Spira, Zephyr, Xray, Allure, Jenkins, Postman, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with white box, black box, functional, regression, automation, performance, and security testing.
- Experience working with white-label products and complex configuration environments.
- Ability to install and configure relevant products, troubleshoot issues, and provide practical inputs to development teams.
- Supply chain domain knowledge; returns, warehouse, inventory, logistics, commerce, or reverse logistics experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement skills.
