Senior Business Analyst

The Jackson Lewis Project Management Office (PMO) partners with firm leadership to enable successful execution of the firm's strategic priorities through disciplined portfolio, program, project & change management, and business analysis. The PMO fosters enterprise alignment by establishing consistent governance, standard methodologies, and a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work across a diverse portfolio of enterprise initiatives, which may include technology implementations, business process transformation, operational improvements, data and reporting initiatives, organizational change, and firm-wide strategic projects and programs.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a professional services environment and partnering with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

Essential Functions

Enterprise Business Analysis

- Lead enterprise business analysis activities, partnering with stakeholders to define objectives, pain points, requirements, and desired outcomes.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, process reviews, and stakeholder meetings to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements.
- Develop and maintain clear project artifacts, including business and functional requirements, user stories, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze current- and future-state processes to identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, automation, and improved efficiency.

Enterprise Project & Program Support

- Support cross-functional initiatives across enterprise functions such as operations, finance, HR, technology, information management, knowledge management, marketing, facilities, and risk.
- Partner with project and program managers to define scope, deliverables, milestones, success criteria, dependencies, risks, and constraints.
- Translate complex business problems into structured analyses, recommendations, and decision support materials.
- Participate in solution evaluation, testing, user acceptance testing, issue tracking, and validation of business outcomes.
- Analyze processes, workflows, data, and operational metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

Communication & Collaboration

- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across business functions and organizational levels.
- Facilitate discussions, resolve competing priorities, and drive alignment toward decisions.
- Communicate complex information clearly through presentations, status updates, analysis, recommendations, and decision materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology or delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement

- Promote consistent business analysis practices, standards, templates, and methodologies across enterprise projects.
- Leverage Generative AI and emerging technologies to improve research, requirements analysis, documentation, synthesis, and project deliverables.
- Identify and share opportunities to improve process consistency, scalability, automation, user experience, and organizational knowledge.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, technology, operations, finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, project delivery, process improvement, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex, cross-functional, enterprise-level projects or programs.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, analyzing, and managing business requirements.
- Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process improvement.
- Experience working across both business and technology teams and serving as a liaison between the two.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and facilitating and driving discussions that lead to decisions and outcomes.

Preferred

- Experience in a law firm, professional services organization, financial services organization, consulting environment, or other complex enterprise.
- Experience with enterprise technology implementations, business transformation, process automation, data/reporting initiatives, or organizational change.
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, or other project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar business analysis/project management solutions.
- Business analysis or project management certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP) is a plus.

For New York City and San Francisco Metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $176,000 and $206,000.  This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.   The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

For White Plains, NY, Washington DC area, Washington State, Illinois State, the expected salary range for this position is between $169,000 and $198,000.  This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.   The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
