Systems Integration Engineer (Radar & Defense Systems)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration of advanced radar, sensor, communication, and command-and-control systems for defense and national security applications. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on hardware work with software integration and troubleshooting in complex operational environments. The successful candidate will work across multiple engineering disciplines to connect, test, and deploy mission-critical technologies used in real-world defense applications. This position offers a blend of office, laboratory, and field-based work, along with opportunities to support customer sites and participate in international training activities.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Integration

- Integrate radar, sensor, radio, and communication systems into larger operational environments
- Design, build, and troubleshoot cables, interfaces, and hardware connections
- Develop and utilize Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Support Ethernet, networking, and radio communication integration
- Diagnose and resolve system connectivity and interoperability issues
- Conduct system testing, validation, and field integration activities

Software Integration

- Develop interfaces between hardware platforms and customer systems
- Support integration of technologies into military command-and-control (C2) environments
- Translate proprietary hardware communication protocols into operational system architectures
- Create scripts and software tools to enable system interoperability
- Assist with software development, testing, and troubleshooting efforts

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or systems integration
- Experience integrating hardware and software systems
- Knowledge of military command-and-control (C2) environments
- Experience working with radar systems, sensors, radios, or related defense technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work hands-on with both hardware and software

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior military experience
- Defense industry experience
- Experience supporting operational military systems
- Background in electronics, communications, or weapons systems integration
- Familiarity with field testing and customer-facing technical support

Security Clearance

- Travel to customer and military sites throughout the United States
- Periods of increased travel may exceed 50%

- International travel opportunities, including occasional overseas training engagements

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
