Job Description

The Equity Derivatives Salesperson (analyst level position) is responsible for supporting senior salespeople on the desk in acting as a strategic advisor to institutional clients, marketing equity derivative ideas and strategies, and executing equity derivatives and delta one products. Key responsibilities include staying up to date on markets, selling and executing derivative trades, as well as helping manage end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows, and collaborating with partners in trading, structuring, research to deliver high quality service and solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Support senior salespeople in servicing institutional clients including pensions, asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and banks
- Assist with selling as well as executing equity derivative products and delta one strategies including swaps, vanilla options, exotics, hybrids, and QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies)
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide a high level of service
- Help with end-to-end post-trade execution workflows, including trade bookings, trade recap confirmations, allocations, and query resolution in close coordination with Middle Office and Operations
- Stay up to date on markets and equity derivative products and offerings including volatility dynamics, market catalysts, macroeconomic trends, as well as new derivative payoffs and QIS strategies
- Collaborate with partners in trading, structuring, strategy, research, and the broader sales team across regions to deliver the full Citi equity derivatives product suite
- Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
- Obtain and maintain all required registrations/licenses and complete trainings within the appropriate timeframe
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

- 0–3 years of overall relevant experience (at least 3 months of internship experience included) in Global Markets, Sales & Trading, Structuring, or related financial services fields
- Strong understanding of fundamentals of financial markets and derivative products
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced trading floor environment under pressure with tight execution deadlines
- Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex derivative structures to both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive, collaborative mindset
- Fluency in French is an asset.

- Bachelor's degree / University degree or equivalent experience
