Purpose:
As a Relationship Manager, reporting to the Manager of Dealer Relations, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with distributor head offices by providing excellent customer service, resolving issues of mutual concern, providing system support, and investigating processing and policy discrepancies.
You will also maintain operational relationships with external distributors, as well as the Dynamic National Accounts, Inside Sales, Wholesale teams, Customer Relations Centre, and internal operations.
In addition, you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of fund information on iFAST.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Respond to incoming calls and emails from internal and external clients, providing courteous and prompt responses to all inquiries.
• Participate in the investigation of FundSERV trade rejects via TFS and anomalies in XML files that could impact N$M settlement.
• Act as a subject matter expert for mutual funds, FundSERV related activity, and iFAST for internal and external clients.
• Travel to distributor head offices as needed to review operational concerns and maintain relationship structures.
• Provide Dealer Agreement Packages and other materials as requested and review this material for AML regulatory requirements.
• Set up new funds and make changes to existing funds in the iFAST system.
• Create and QC FD and MD files and work on special projects as requested.
• Participate in requirements definition and user acceptance testing for software enhancements, FundSERV releases and new products, and attend working groups as needed.
• Provide ample notification to internal and external operational personnel regarding upcoming releases, including FundSERV.
• Create system reports using Progress Results and Micro Strategies to determine data integrity, statistics, and audits as requested.
• Update the departmental manual to ensure procedural guidelines remain accurate.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:
• Minimum of two years of mutual funds operations experience.
• Canadian Securities Course or Canadian Investment Funds in Canada Course.
• College Diploma or University Degree.
• Mutual fund customer service or operations experience is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FundSERV and electronic processing is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the iFAST system is an asset.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to deal with customers professionally.
• Travel is required for the position.
• Bilingualism in English and French would be an asset.
