Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator
Pay Range: $22–$26 per hour (Based on experience and skill level)
1st shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM - occasional Saturday OT required
Location: Hanover, PA
 
Role Overview
This position is responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of metal components such as rail systems, stair assemblies, ladders, and other miscellaneous steel items. The role requires strong blueprint comprehension, hands-on fabrication ability, and the flexibility to work efficiently in a production-oriented environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

- Fabricate and assemble stairs, ladders, and miscellaneous metal components according to blueprints and shop drawings.

- Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, welders, and grinders.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, shop tickets, and specifications.

- Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing of metal components.

- Perform quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other fabricators to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

- Assist with troubleshooting fabrication issues and developing practical solutions.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Adapt to changing project requirements and schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience in metal fabrication, particularly miscellaneous steel.

- Experience with FCAW welding; certification preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Excellent time-management and multitasking skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.

- Positive, team-oriented attitude.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch between jobs as priorities change.
