Connect Hamilton is a collaborative working agreement between Hamilton City Council and Downer, responsible for the planning and delivery of most transportation-related physical works across Hamilton, including maintenance and renewal activities.

We have an exciting opportunity for Concrete Workers and Driver Operators to join our team. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Connect Hamilton contract and delivering essential infrastructure that keeps Hamilton moving.

Driver Operator

As a Driver Operator, you'll support a variety of civil maintenance and construction activities, operating trucks and plant while assisting crews across the network.

You'll bring:

- Class 4 Licence (essential)

- Experience operating trucks and civil plant

- Civil maintenance or construction experience

- Strong commitment to health and safety

- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Concrete Worker

As a Concrete Worker, you'll be part of a hardworking crew delivering concrete, maintenance, and civil construction works across the Hamilton network.

You'll bring:

- Full Class 1 Licence (essential)

- Civil construction or skilled labouring experience

- Experience with concrete works, footpaths, kerbing, channels, or similar activities preferred

- Strong work ethic and reliability

- Commitment to working safely and as part of a team

Important Skills | Nga pūkenga matua

You are reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in delivering quality work. You'll enjoy working outdoors, collaborating with your team, and contributing to projects that make a tangible difference to the Hamilton community. You will also have:

- The appropriate license/s

- A knack for health and safety

- Experience in the civil industry

- Ability to help the team when required
