About this role
The Subsea Systems Engineer will provide technical representation of the Company to clients for Conceptual thru Execution and Delivery phases of subsea projects. The candidate duties are summed up by involvement in customer meetings, studies/FEEDs, Systems Tenders, and project execution. The Systems Engineer will discuss field architecture, interfaces, and technical solutions directly with clients. This will require working knowledge of Company’s subsea equipment, installations and operations. These client interactions are high profile and require excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Systems Engineer may also be called upon to present papers for industry forums.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review available requirements from client, industry and Company specifications.
- Coordinate document review by other technical packages.
- Generate Cost Time Resource sheets defining scope and deliverables of work.
- Manage the System Engineering Schedule.
- Manage/develop the Master Document Register.
- Provide technical guidance to package engineers regarding Client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to Tendering Organization regarding Client requirements.
- Coordinate package engineering responses back to clients.
- Coordinate analyses with Subject Matter Experts as needed to perform the work.
- Stay current with Company’s New Product Development programs.
- Perform Technical Gaps analyses of company’s offerings versus the requirements.
- Coordinate Internal and External Reviews of input and deliverable documents.
- Perform as Technical Lead during meetings with clients.
- Report project status to client.
Job Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S.in Mechanical Engineering.
Eight plus years of Industry experience or
Five plus years of experience related to subsea production systems.
