Job Title: Expedited Logistics Coordinator (Sunday-Thursday) Job Description We are seeking multiple Expedited Logistics Specialists to become part of a dynamic transportation and logistics operation. These positions are fully onsite, with opportunities available across three different shifts. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service. You will coordinate time-sensitive shipments from initial order entry through final delivery, ensuring critical milestones are met and customers receive timely updates throughout the process. Responsibilities

- Coordinate and monitor time-critical and expedited shipments from order entry through final delivery.
- Track shipments closely and ensure milestones and status updates are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate directly with customers, carriers, vendors, internal teams, and leadership.
- Provide proactive shipment updates and quickly respond to customer questions or concerns.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order management, shipment tracking, communication, and escalation.
- Identify shipment delays, service issues, or potential problems and escalate them appropriately.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate important shipment information between shifts.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls, emails, shipment updates, and operational tasks.
- Respond quickly to new orders and changing shipment requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to maintain high levels of customer service and on-time performance.
- Participate in department meetings, training, and process updates.
- Handle additional operational responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Open to entry-level applicants, but candidates should be proactive and motivated.
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, freight forwarding, or customer service preferred.
- Experience with Next Flight Out (NFO), expedited freight, time-critical shipments, or vendor/carrier operations is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable juggling multiple shipments, emails, calls, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions when dealing with urgent or changing situations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- General knowledge of U.S. and international geography is helpful.
- Comfortable being on the phone all day in a call center environment.
- 1+ years of logistics experience is beneficial.
- Well-spoken with a customer service tone in communication.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics, TMS, NFO, and time-critical operations.

Work Environment This is a 100% onsite position within a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment. The operation supports time-critical shipments and operates 24/7. We are currently hiring for three different shifts. Initially, the role requires full onsite presence, but hybrid flexibility may be offered in the future. Shift options include Sun-Thurs 0600-1400, Sun-Thurs 1000-1800, Sun-Thurs 1200-2000, Sun-Thurs 1400-2200, Sun-Thurs 2200-0600, Tues-Sat 0600-1400, Tues-Sat 1000-1800, Tues-Sat 1200-2000, Tues-Sat 1400-2200, Tues-Sat 2200-0600.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
