Job Title: Accounting Specialist Job Description
This role is pivotal in providing top-tier customer service by managing emails and calls, processing invoices, offering product and service information, and efficiently resolving any issues that distributor members might encounter. The position also involves sharing relevant market information and sales communications with stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between distributors, suppliers, and internal associates to facilitate successful sales transactions with utmost customer service, accuracy, and timeliness. This role involves working cross-departmentally with accounting to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing and supplier remittance.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage GPA purchase orders and receivables from sales orders.
- Monitor accounts receivable and address concerns or issues as needed.
- Input and price orders as directed.
- Collaborate with sales staff to identify and rectify root causes of invoice discrepancies.
- Analyze short pays/discrepancies and make recommendations to write off or rebill, and elevate issues as necessary.
- Serve as a backup resource for other invoice programs as needed.
- Assist with financial and administrative tasks including billing, expense reconciliation, and collections.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience managing purchase orders, receivables, and basic accounting skills.
- 2+ years of superior customer service skills and ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Teams environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the food service industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with SalesPad or similar financial and inventory management software is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office, within a fast-paced, multitasking work environment. It involves a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Boise, ID.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
