POSITION: Assistant Tennis Coordinator – P/T Hourly
REPORTS TO: Tennis Coordinator
Legends Global, a leader in the private management of public assembly facilities, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Tennis & Pickleball Coordinator to join the team at McFetridge Sports Center.
The Assistant Tennis & Pickleball Coordinator will assist with the coordination and delivery of tennis and pickleball programming for youth and adults of varying skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants. This position will support the Tennis Coordinator in maintaining high-quality programming, developing staff, and creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are essential to the position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:
- Instruct and lead McFetridge Sports Center tennis and pickleball classes, utilizing knowledge of fundamental skills, techniques, and terminology.
- Assist with maintaining and improving the quality and consistency of tennis and pickleball instruction across department staff.
- Provide in-house training and professional development opportunities for instructional staff and coordinate staff participation in relevant seminars or educational programs.
- Collaborate with the Tennis Coordinator on staff scheduling and program assignments.
- Under the direction of the Tennis Coordinator, assist with organizing and operating the Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Program.
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that encourages participants to enjoy tennis and pickleball for recreation, fitness, and skill development.
- Provide instructional coverage when staff members are unavailable due to vacation, illness, or other scheduling conflicts.
- Complete administrative responsibilities related to department programming, including, but not limited to: Communicating professionally with patrons, participants, and parents/guardians.
- Composing emails and preparing documents related to the JTT Program.
- Maintaining inventory and monitoring department supplies.
- Providing professional and courteous customer service and interaction with patrons and members of the public.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Tennis Coordinator.

- Remain physically active and stand on the court for extended periods of time, including approximately 4–6 hours at a time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have coaching and instructional experience in the following areas:
- 10 and Under Tennis, including Red, Orange, and Green Ball programming.
- Junior Development programs.
- Adult tennis classes, clinics, and/or workshops.
- PTR or USPTA Level 1 certification or higher, with current certification required.
- Experience organizing leagues, tournaments, and/or Junior Team Tennis programs is preferred.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
- Approximately 25–30 hours per week.
- Evening and weekend availability is required.
- Schedule will vary based on program sessions, classes, and facility needs.
- Must be willing to adjust hours and provide instructional coverage as needed.
HOURLY RATE RANGE: $25.00
