About the Role
The Senior EV Project Manager will lead complex DC fast charging projects through the full project lifecycle , including permitting, utility coordination, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.  This role will oversee multiple projects while managing schedules, budgets, contractors, utilities, AHJs, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience delivering EV charging infrastructure projects and will serve as a senior resource for project execution, risk management, and team development. This position may be remote, hybrid, or in-person; however, candidates must be available to visit project sites as needed.

Traveling Requirements: This position requires minimal travel within California. The company will cover all related travel expenses, including per-diem, transportation, and hotel accommodation. Advance notice will be provided for all travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead complex DC fast charging projects from permitting and utility coordination through estimation, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and key milestones across multiple sites.
- Coordinate with utilities, AHJs, property owners, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve permitting, interconnection, and field issues.
- Oversee contractor performance, change orders, construction progress, and site execution.
- Review designs, construction drawings, and site conditions to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate project status, risks, financial performance, and key decisions to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, permitting requirements, and funding requirements.
- Mentor project team members and help improve project management standards, processes, and best practices.
- Oversee project closeout, including inspections, punch lists, commissioning, and final documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Full lifecycle DC fast charging experience, including permitting, utility coordination, construction, and closeout.
- 7+ years of construction or infrastructure project management experience.
- Experience leading complex, multi-site EV charging or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of utility interconnection, AHJ permitting, and construction processes.
- Experience managing contractors, change orders, budgets, schedules, and project risk.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineered plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable construction and electrical standards.
- Experience with NEVI or other publicly funded EV infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Procore, Smartsheet, Primavera, MS Project, Salesforce, Sitetracker, or similar tools.
- Experience with EPC contracting and contractor performance management.
- PMP certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience mentoring or developing project teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to travel to and move through active construction sites, including uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather, dust, and noise conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE while on site.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Salary and Benefits
$100K to $175K Based on Experience
