About this role

Description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, innovative, and driven leaders. We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to own the Business Operations function of our Customer Logistics Security (CLS) organization.

You will own the rhythm of business for CLS, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time so leadership can make better decisions and teams can move quickly. As the Senior Program Manager of CLS Business Operations, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CLS Director and senior leadership, operating across sub-teams to shape organizational strategy and drive execution.

This role owns the development and delivery of short- and long-term business and financial goals, navigating ambiguity to create structure and clarity where none exists. You will manage the full lifecycle of complex, cross-functional initiatives, from problem definition through delivery and iteration, in environments where the business problem and solution may not yet be well-defined. This is a high-impact opportunity within Worldwide Operations, working directly with Directors, VPs, and cross-functional leaders to influence organizational priorities and resource allocation. The position reports directly to the Director, Customer Logistics Security.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end business planning and operating cycles, establishing mechanisms and cadences that ensure sub-teams deliver against organizational commitments.
• Define program strategy (mission, vision, tenets) and set objectives that align with broader CLS and Worldwide Operations goals.
• Drive cohesion across sub-teams by creating visibility into current and future initiatives, identifying dependencies, and resolving conflicts in priorities and resources.
• Identify, evaluate, and drive new strategic partnership opportunities that expand the organization's impact across CLS and broader security functions.
• Identify and drive cost reduction and efficiency opportunities, quantifying impact and building the business case for resource reallocation.
• Own and drive the cadence of MBR/QBR mechanisms, defining the narrative, ensuring data integrity, and driving actionable outcomes after every review.
• Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership, translating operational metrics into strategic implications and clear recommended actions.
• Drive organizational communications programs, including all-hands meetings, newsletters, and internal updates, that keep teams informed, aligned, and connected to the CLS mission.
• Streamline or eliminate redundant processes; when you see a missing process, a broken handoff, or a reporting blind spot, take ownership of fixing it.
• Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards that give leadership clear visibility into organizational performance, tracking progress against goals, surfacing risks early, and ensuring data is accurate and actionable.
• Measure and communicate performance against organizational goals, surfacing risks and opportunities to senior leadership with recommended actions.
• Build mechanisms for continuous improvement, using data to identify patterns and drive systemic operational enhancements across the organization.
