About the Role
As a Regional Sales Manager – Bay Area, you will lead sales execution across Northern California (focused on the Bay Area), driving sales, distribution, depletion, and market share growth for a premium wine portfolio. In addition to managing key distributor and customer relationships, you will lead and develop a team of sales professionals, ensuring strong market execution, accountability, and achievement of business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
- Deliver sales, distribution, depletion, and market share goals throughout Northern California.
- Build strong relationships with distributor leadership, distributor sales teams, and key trade accounts.
- Develop and execute market plans that focus resources on the highest-impact opportunities.
- Drive distributor performance against goals for distribution, pricing, promotional activity, and execution standards.
- Lead market activations, wine dinners, trainings, and customer events that build brand awareness and sales.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and recommend action plans.
- You are a proven sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. You combine strong commercial acumen with a passion for developing people, building distributor partnerships, and delivering measurable business results.
- You have experience leading, coaching, and motivating a field sales team.
- You have 5+ years of sales leadership experience in wine, beverage alcohol, or consumer packaged goods.
- You have a strong understanding of the U.S. three-tier system and distributor management.
- You excel at building credibility and influencing distributor partners, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You use data and market insights to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
- You are a confident communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
- You are willing and able to travel regularly throughout Northern California.

The anticipated base compensation for this position is $120,000 to $144,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and market considerations. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation, bonuses, commissions, and/or a comprehensive benefits package, as applicable. The compensation range listed reflects a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position at the time of posting.
