Press Brake Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a local manufacturer seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join their team. The Press Brake Operator will load and align tools in the press brake machines to produce metal parts according to documented specifications.  The ideal Press Brake Operator has at least 2 years of setup and operation of press brake machines, good communication skills, and the ability to read, understand, and follow written documents. The Press Brake Operator is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Webster, NY.
 
Press Brake Operator Job Responsibilities:

Understand Job Specifications by Following Control Documents or Blueprints

Determine Tool Requirements Through Thorough Review of the job Description

Load & Align Appropriate Tool into Press Brake Machine

Set up Supply of Appropriate Packing Material

Perform Quality Check of First Article, Submit for Blue Tag Before Proceeding to Run

Parts

Collaborate with Toolmakers & Quality Control to Resolve Problems

Instruct Machine Operators on Part Production & Assist in Training as Needed

Perform Quality Checks Periodically

Schedule work on Various Press Brake Machines to Meet Production Requirements

Maintain Inventory of Tools & Fixtures

Other Duties as Assigned

Follow all PPE & Safety Guidelines

Press Brake Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

At Least 2 Years of Related Experience or the Equivalent of Training & Experience

Certificate from College or Technical School is Preferred

Must be Able to Read & Interpret Documents, Including Safety Rules, Operating & Maintenance Instructions & Procedure Manuals.

Excellent Verbal & Written Communication & the Ability to Speak Effectively in Front of People

Ability to Apply Common Sense to Problem Solve & Carry Out Instructions

Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, use Hands to Finger, Handle or Feel, Reach, Grasp, Twist, Talk & Hear, and Lift Objects up to 50 Lbs
