Job Summary

Our Housing and International Relations Manager blends community liaison, property management, and global outreach, focusing on creating supportive housing for diverse populations (like international students/staff) while managing housing operations (leases, maintenance, budgets) and fostering relationships with global partners, requiring strong cross-cultural communication, policy knowledge, and diplomacy to handle complex international housing needs and policies.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Housing Management: handle recruitment/onboarding for housing roles, manage housing operations (assignments, maintenance, leasing), ensure compliance with housing laws, oversee budgets, maintain tenant relations (employees), and develop HR strategies to support a positive, compliant living/working environment for staff, requiring strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Oversee daily operations of housing facilities, including allocation, maintenance, and enforcing policies.

- Manage budgets, billing, and financial aspects of housing programs.

- Resolve tenant issues, complaints, and anti-social behavior with tact and diplomacy.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, realtors, and service providers Manages insurance claims resolution and oversees single-case agreements (SCA).

- Recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for transportation staff/employees.

- Developing and implementing HR policies for transportation staff.

- Managing employee relations and fostering a positive environment.

- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

- Overseeing day-to-day management of employee residences.

- Managing maintenance, repairs, and vendor contracts.

- Handling lease agreements, assignments, and move-ins/outs.

- Collecting rent/fees and managing budgets.

- Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal housing regulations.

- Reporting on HR metrics and housing performance.

- Developing strategies for housing improvement and employee engagement.

- Organize meetings, events, and programs to build a positive, cohesive community atmosphere.

International Relations: oversees the global talent acquisition lifecycle, from strategy to hiring, managing international job postings, sourcing diverse candidates (using local job boards, social media, events), interviewing, and ensuring compliance with various countries' labor laws and visa requirements, all while collaborating with regional managers and adapting to cultural nuances for optimal hiring

- Act as a liaison with international organizations or partners to facilitate housing for international guests/students.

- Develop and implement strategies for international engagement and policy alignment.

- Coordinate logistics for international visits, ensuring smooth cultural integration.

- Represent the organization in forums and multi-national platforms

- Global Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement international recruitment strategies to attract top global talent, aligning with organizational goals and market trends.

- End-to-End Recruitment Management: Oversee the entire hiring process for international roles, including job description creation, sourcing, screening, interviewing (with hiring managers), background checks, and offer management.

- Sourcing & Attraction: Utilize diverse channels (global job boards, social media, international career fairs) to build talent pipelines and connect with prospective candidates worldwide.

- Compliance & Legal: Ensure adherence to all local and international labor laws, immigration regulations, work permits, and visa requirements.

- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor recruitment metrics, provide insights, and report on recruitment activities and outcomes.

- Candidate Experience: Manage communication and guide candidates through the complex international onboarding process, ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.

- Equivalent hospitality training experience considered.

- Prior operational leadership experience in a luxury hotel or resort strongly preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Experience developing and delivering hospitality service training required.

Physical Demands

- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping.

- Frequent keyboarding and occasional driving.

Working Conditions

- Primarily indoors in an office environment.

- Regular travel to St. Joe properties for training, audits, coaching, and operational support.
