Dolby’s consumer entertainment and cinema businesses are bringing Dolby’s breakthrough technologies, powering the world’s top movies, TV shows, music, games, and live sports to more places around the world across a wider range of consumer experiences and devices.

Dolby is looking for a business and product leader to own Dolby Vision for the Home Devices market. This global business spans televisions, digital media adapters, set-top boxes, projectors, and the semiconductor and operating-system platforms that enable these devices. The role is accountable for the revenue performance and sustainable growth of the business, as well as the strategy, definition, delivery, and lifecycle management of the Dolby Vision Home Devices product portfolio.

This leader will operate with a general-manager mindset and lead a small business and product management team, working cross-functionally with engineering, platform, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, partner success and support, and content ecosystem teams to deliver differentiated products, create strong customer value and consumer impact, and drive business growth.

Dolby Vision is a global imaging ecosystem that connects content creation, distribution, and playback across billions of devices and tens of thousands of movies, live sports events, games, and user-generated content. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial judgment with genuine product leadership, translating market and customer needs into a focused portfolio and mobilizing the broader organization to execute.

Responsibilities

- Own the Dolby Vision Home Devices business, with responsibility for revenue, growth, product performance, and overall business outcomes across TVs, DMAs, STBs and home theater devices such as projectors.

- Own the business and end-to-end strategy for Dolby Vision on Home Devices: define the long-term strategy, assess market and competitive dynamics, identify where Dolby can create and capture differentiated value, translate the strategy into annual priorities and investment plans, gain consensus, and communicate clear choices across the organization.

- Develop a segmented view of the global market, including customers, consumers, use cases, value chains, competitive alternatives, regional dynamics, and technology trends.

- Define and execute strategies to increase attach rate and revenue per segment while sustaining a healthy Dolby Vision ecosystem.

- Partner with sales, finance, and legal to shape commercial strategy, including pricing, licensing approaches, forecasts, and major customer opportunities.

- Own the Dolby Vision Home Devices product portfolio and multi-year roadmap, from strategy through execution. Establish clear positioning, value propositions, target segments, success metrics, investment priorities, release sequencing across the ecosystem, and lifecycle plans for each product and version; maintain alignment between customer commitments, platform dependencies, engineering capacity, and business goals.

- Identify unmet market needs and new growth opportunities and turn them into compelling product concepts and business cases.

- Build and lead a pipeline of new Dolby Vision innovations by combining consumer insight, customer discovery, technology trends, and research advances. Incubate high-potential concepts, test product-market fit, define business and product requirements, and make evidence-based recommendations to scale, partner, sequence, or stop initiatives.

- Develop clear product requirements and guide initiatives through Dolby’s product development and lifecycle processes, balancing customer value, consumer experience, technical feasibility, schedule, quality, and return on investment.

- Lead go-to-market strategy for new products and portfolio transitions, establishing the right sequence of customer engagement, ecosystem readiness, sales enablement, marketing, and launch activities.

- Maintain a deep understanding of the needs of device OEMs, service operators, silicon providers, operating-system platforms, content partners, and consumers; build trusted senior relationships across the ecosystem.

- Make disciplined trade-offs across business and product initiatives within the available resource envelope, focusing teams on the highest-impact outcomes.

- Establish technical credibility quickly with Dolby’s cross-functional community of imaging and video experts, including Dolby’s advanced imaging R&D team. Engage deeply in product and architecture discussions, ask incisive technical questions, understand picture-quality trade-offs, and connect technical decisions to consumer experience, product differentiation, and business outcomes.

- Work cross-functionally with engineering, research, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, partner success and support, and content ecosystem leaders while retaining accountability for the overall success of the business.

- Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing business and product management team. Set clear expectations, create growth opportunities, and evolve the team as the business requires.

- Establish objectives and measurable outcomes, including OKRs; review business and product performance, identify risks early, and drive corrective action.

- Represent the business in executive reviews and in strategic engagements with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

Required:

- Substantial professional experience in image processing, video processing, display systems, or picture-quality (PQ) engineering. Candidates should have experience or familiarity with HDR technologies, color gamut, tone management, image processing, metadata, display technologies, and perceptual picture quality.

- Significant experience leading a business, product portfolio, or major product line in consumer electronics, home entertainment, video technology, media, semiconductors, operating systems, or a closely related industry.

- Experience leading and developing direct reports, as well as mobilizing large cross-functional teams without direct authority. Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills across functions, cultures, and geographies.

- Understanding of the home entertainment market and its value chain, including TVs, set-top boxes, digital media adapters, display technologies, silicon platforms, operating systems, content distribution, and device manufacturing.

- Willingness to travel globally as needed to engage customers, partners, and internal teams.

Preferred:

- Demonstrated ownership of revenue and growth outcomes, with the ability to connect market development and strategy, product decisions, commercial value capture, and execution.

- Strong product management record, including market discovery, product strategy, roadmap development, requirements, business cases, product launches, and lifecycle management.

- Commercial fluency in segmentation, pricing, licensing, forecasting, go-to-market strategy, customer negotiations, and investment prioritization.

- Demonstrated technical depth and fluency to engage as a credible peer with imaging, video, platform and R&D team members; assess technical proposals and picture-quality trade-offs; and translate complex imaging, video, software, and platform topics into clear product and business decisions. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, imaging science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
