About the Role

Pacific Partnerships has an opportunity for a Manager - Land & Planning to join our Development team in North Sydney. Reporting to the EGM - PPPs and GM - Energy, this role will lead the land, planning and environmental workstreams across Pacific Partnerships' growing portfolio of energy, digital infrastructure and PPP projects and be responsible for:

- Leading site identification, assessment and due diligence activities for prospective development opportunities
- Managing land acquisition and planning approval processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Developing and implementing regulatory approvals strategies and plans to support successful project outcomes
- Coordinating local, state and federal planning, environmental and development approvals
- Managing external consultants, technical specialists and advisors throughout project development
- Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies across land, planning and environmental workstreams
- Leading stakeholder engagement activities with government agencies, landowners, communities and regulatory authorities
- Supporting cultural heritage assessments, Indigenous stakeholder engagement and heritage management processes
- Navigating environmental regulations, planning frameworks and compliance obligations to facilitate project delivery
- Collaborating with technical, commercial, legal and finance teams to optimise investment and development outcomes
- Supporting delivery teams through post-financial close approvals and development activities
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Additional qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business or Law will be highly regarded
- 10+ years' experience in land acquisition, planning, environmental approvals or project development, ideally within the energy, infrastructure or renewable energy sectors
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, planning processes and land use frameworks
- Experience managing land and planning activities across multiple jurisdictions, particularly NSW, Victoria and Queensland
- Knowledge of flora, fauna and environmental assessment requirements
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capability across government, regulatory, community and industry groups
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent project management, organisational and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in complex environments and drive risk and value-based decision making
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations and reports for senior leaders
- A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.
